Our Identity
St Andrew's Church Ballyhalbert is a church that serves the areas of Ballyeasborough, Ballyhalbert and Portavogie. As a church we aim to serve the community, sharing the love of Christ and creating a sense of belonging and purpose. We are part of the Anglican Community and serve in the Diocese of Down and Dromore.
What to expect on a Sunday
Our Sunday Services follow the Church of Ireland’s Book of Common prayer. Typically our services will follow the pattern of Morning Prayer 2 unless it is a communion service.
You can expect a friendly atmosphere and you can expect the gospel to be preached. We believe that our purpose is to serve our community, showing Christ’s love, joy, peace, and mercy, and we pray that this is evident when you walk through the door.
Our Parish Pastoral Worker
Raymond McClure is our Parish Pastoral Worker. His duties include the day to day running of the church, pastoral visits, preaching, and organising mid-week Bible Studies, Prayer Meetings, and Events.
Raymond began working with St Andrew’s in February 2022. He is currently on the pathway towards ordination within the Church of Ireland, having just completed a BA (Hons) Degree in Theology.
Raymond has been involved in Church planting, rejuvenation projects, and Church growth initiatives since 2008 and has a passion to see God’s Church grow and release it's full potential in working for the Kingdom.
